Dan Ryan shooting slows mornings rush hour commute
There were no injuries following a reported shooting Tuesday morning on the outbound Dan Ryan Expressway near Chatham.
CHICAGO - All southbound lanes of the Dan Ryan Expressway were shut down for hours Tuesday morning as Illinois State Police investigated a shooting near Chatham on the South Side.
Troopers responded to a report of an expressway shooting around 4:36 a.m. on southbound I-94 near 87th Street, state police said.
No injuries were reported, but all southbound lanes were closed until 7 a.m. for investigation, according to ISP.
