Man critically wounded after being shot multiple times in Woodlawn

CHICAGO - A man is in critical condition after being shot multiple times in Woodlawn Monday night.

At about 6:10 p.m., a 31-year-old man was near the sidewalk in the 6600 block of South Maryland when he was struck multiple times to the body by gunfire.

The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

No offenders are in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
