Man shot and wounded in Galewood

CHICAGO - A man was critically wounded after being shot Sunday in Galewood on the Northwest Side.

The man, 21, was outside about 2:35 p.m. when someone walked up to him in the 1800 block of North Mobile Avenue and opened fire, Chicago police said.

The man was struck in the side and taken to Loyola University Medical Center, police said. He was in critical condition.

Area North detectives are investigating.
