SEATTLE (Fox 32 News) - A new Seattle law protects workers from erratic work schedules and last minute craziness from the boss.
The "Secure Scheduling Law" requires that managers post schedules at least 14 days in advance and that employees get ten hours off between shifts.
The law, which went into effect this weekend, only applies to workplaces with more than 500 employees.
The law also requires that employers give scheduling preference to employees with child and school commitments and health care issues.
