CHICAGO - A teenager was arrested and charged in connection with multiple robberies and batteries on CTA train platforms earlier this year.
The 16-year-old boy faces charges of aggravated battery, robbery and robbery with a firearm, according to the Chicago Police Department. He was arrested by the Bureau of Counterterrorism Tactical Team and Chicago police on Monday in the 1100 block of South Hamilton Avenue.
Police said he was identified as one of the individuals who participated in the robberies on CTA platforms.
Police listed the alleged incident locations and dates:
- July 31 in the 0-100 block of West Cermak; 24-year-old male victim
- Sept. 17 in the 3900 block of North Sheridan; 34 year old male victim
- Sept. 17 in the 1100 block of Bryn Mawr; male victim
- Sept. 18 in the 1200 block of North Clark; 30-year-old male victim
Police did not release any further information.
