SUN-TIMES MEDIA WIRE - Crews cleaning debris from the water of the Des Plaines River discovered a body Friday afternoon in west suburban Maywood.
Illinois State Police were called about 1 p.m. after workers found the body about 1 p.m. near Washington Street and First Avenue in Maywood, according to police.
Divers from the Maywood and Pleasant View fire departments are now working to recover the body, police said.
No additional information was immediately available.
