The lawsuit said Clearview AI scrapes dozens of internet sites, such as Facebook, Twitter, Google and Venmo, to gather facial photos. Scraping involves the use of computer programs to automatically scan and copy data, which the lawsuit says is analyzed by Clearview AI to identify individual biometrics such as eye shape and size that are then put into a “faceprint” database that clients can use to ID people.

The Justice Department is expected to file a lawsuit Tuesday alleging that Google has been abusing its online dominance in online search to stifle competition and harm consumers.

Google had previously told its employees to expect to work from home until at least the end of 2020.

The tech behemoth will offer three new certificate programs in Data Analytics, Project Management, and UX Design, according to a July 13 news release.

The reporting feature has been available on Android devices, but is now expanding to iOS in the latest app update, the company said.
