The Arlington Heights woman accused of causing thousands of dollars of damage to a shrine in Des Plaines was expect back in court Friday.

Rylan Wilder brought his guitar and inspirational recovery story with him to the plaza for Orange Friday. Wilder was shot four years ago by a suburban police officer at age 15 while interning for a music school on the North Side. After years of rehabilitation, he's playing and producing original music.

At age 15, Rylan Wilder was a guitar prodigy, but his dreams were put on hold after a traumatic shooting in 2019. Four years later and 19 years old, Wilder is getting back into the music scene and has just been awarded $1.9 million for his life-threatening hardships.
