Death investigation underway after person found dead in Chicago alley

CHICAGO - A death investigation is underway on Chicago's Far South Side after a person was found dead in an alley.

At about 1:26 p.m., a witness discovered a female victim unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Indiana. She was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The age of the victim is unknown at this time. 

Area Two detectives are investigating. Police have classified this as a death investigation.
