Patti Blagojevich unhappy with Rauner campaign wiretap ad

In a new ad from Governor Bruce Rauner -- aimed at Democrat JB Pritzker -- it tries to link Pritzker to disgraced former Governor Rod Blagojevich.

But the attack ad is also drawing anger from Patti Blagoevich.

The ad includes wiretap audio of Blagojevich discussing a possible job with Pritzker. Patti Blagojevich says it violates a court order sealing those taped conversations.

On Friday, Patti joined us in studio along with her daughter. She said the tapes could have cleared her husband, but a judge wouldn’t allow them as evidence.

Patti says her husband, who has served almost 6 years of his 14-year sentence, is still holding out hope that they will be able to overturn the conviction and that he will be vindicated and return back home.
