FOX Furry Friend of the Week: Adoptable cat Pierre

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - FOX 32 News has teamed up with no-kill shelter PAWS Chicago to bring you an adoptable pet each week. This week, we're featuring a sweet kitty that everyone at PAWS has fallen head over heals for!

Pierre is a mature 13-year-old gentleman who would love to find a quiet, relaxing home where he can spend his golden years. He absolutely loves to sit on laps and snuggle with his human friends!  His favorite activities are lounging and playing with wand toys, and he uses his scratching post like a champ. He also loves to eat, which is great news because he has diabetes, and has to keep himself healthy! He does need insulin injections twice daily but he takes them very well!

He is laid-back and a total sweetheart who has tons of love to give. He would be a great fit for a home with other feline friends, or he would likely do well as an only kitty as well—as long as he can hang out and snuggle with his human family members.

Pierre is part of PAWS Chicago’s Featured Five program, aimed toward uniting animals with special adopters who can provide them with a specific lifestyle and health needs. Their adoption will come with one year of free Merrick Pet Care cat food and free wellness at PAWS Chicago’s Medical Center.

You can meet Pierre and the other animals in need of forever homes at the PAWS Chicago Adoption & Humane Center located at 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue in Lincoln Park. For more information call 773-935-PAWS or visit www.pawschicago.org.
