116 more COVID-19 deaths in Illinois

Illinois health officials Thursday announced 116 more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the state’s toll to 5,736.

Another 929 confirmed cases of the coronavirus were also reported, raising the state’s total to 124,759, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

So far, a total of 982,016 COVID-19 tests have been performed in Illinois, officials said.
