3 teens shot, 1 in critical condition, near CPS school on West Side

Two 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man were shot in Chicago's Austin neighborhood Friday afternoon.

Two 17-year-old boys and a 19-year-old man were shot in Chicago's Austin neighborhood Friday afternoon.

The shooting occurred around 2:30 p.m. in the 400 block of South Laramie near Michelle Clark Magnet High School.

According to Chicago police, three male victims were near the sidewalk and possibly involved in a physical altercation when they were struck by gunfire.

A 17-year-old boy was struck multiple times to the body, and transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

Another 17-year-old boy was shot in the ankle, and transported to an area hospital in good condition.

A 19-year-old man was shot in the back and arm, and transported to an area hospital in good condition.

Area detectives are investigating.

This is the second shooting this week near a CPS school.

Four teens were shot in a drive-by shooting near Schurz High School Wednesday.
