Thieves use sledgehammer to break into Wicker Park liquor stores: police warn
CHICAGO - Police are searching for four men who robbed two liquor stores in Wicker Park this week.
The offenders broke out the front window of a liquor store in the 2000 block of West Division Street around 1:51 a.m. Tuesday and took tobacco, alcohol and an unknown amount of cash.
Police say another store nearby in the 1700 block of North Milwaukee Avenue was targeted the night before around 4:40 a.m.
The burglars got away. Police say the men use a sledgehammer to break the glass and gain entry.

The men wore dark clothes, face masks and gloves. One is heavyset, two are medium build and the other is slender.
They drove a Jeep Cherokee in the first incident and used a stolen Kia Sportage with Illinois license CU17259 in the second robbery.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
