5 shot while exiting party bus in South Shore
CHICAGO (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - Five people were shot while exiting a party bus early Thursday in the South Shore neighborhood.
The victims were getting off the bus in the 2200 block of East 70th Place about 2:10 a.m. when someone on the street started shooting at them, according to Chicago Police.
A 29-year-old man was shot in the right leg and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, police said. A 22-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right hand, and a 22-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the right foot were taken to Jackson Park Hospital. Another 22-year-old man was shot in the left leg and chest, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. A 30-year-old man was shot in the right foot and taken to Northwestern in good condition.
All of their conditions were stabilized, according to police.
Police said all five victims are documented gang members.
