Melrose Park (SUN TIMES MEDIA WIRE) - Six people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in west suburban Melrose Park.
About 5:35 a.m., a vehicle was traveling eastbound on North Avenue near Thatcher Avenue when it crossed the center line and struck another vehicle head-on, according to Melrose Park Police Chief Sam Pitassi. The second vehicle then slid into a third vehicle.
Four people were taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, and another two people were taken to Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Melrose Park, Pitassi said. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.
