TAMPA (FOX 13) - A box of puppies found in horrible condition have been nursed back to good health, and are officially ready to be put up for adoption.
A Good Samaritan found the puppies in a box on the side of the road last month, and turned them into the The Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Staff members said the pups were extremely emaciated and lethargic. They also had severe mange, and it appeared as if they’d been suffering for weeks.
The shelter took them in and gave them antibiotics, vitamins, medicated baths and- of course, lots of love- in order to get them healthy.
As estimated, the process took between four and six weeks, and now, the puppies are well enough to find their forever homes.
They say each one was spayed or neutered, and microchipped, and will be available for adoption starting at noon Thursday.
