All Aurora Public Library locations evacuated due to emergency

Aurora Public Library issued an alert that all of its locations have been evacuated due to an "emergency situation" Thursday morning. No further information has been made available.

Aurora Public Library and Addison Public Library received unfounded bomb threats Thursday. 

All Aurora Public Library locations were evacuated for an "emergency situation" at about 11:28 a.m.

Addison police responded to a bomb threat at the library on Lake Street and Kennedy Drive around noon. All the library campuses were closed as police investigated, but have since reopened. 

At 12:13 p.m., the Aurora Library tweeted that there were no active threats, but all locations will remain closed until further notice. 

Aurora police say the threat was believed to be a hoax.
