Driver killed in high-speed crash on Chicago's West Side

CHICAGO - A driver was killed in a car crash in Chicago's Austin neighborhood Friday night. 

Police say a man was speeding in the 4900 block of West Madison Street around 11:51 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and the car struck a parked semi-truck. 

He was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. 

There were no other injuries reported and the Major Accidents unit is investigating.
