‘Bluey,’ the animated children’s show popular among both children and parents alike, is getting its own feature film.

BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company announced Tuesday that Bluey will be coming to the big screen, alongside her Mum, Dad and little sister, Bingo.

The film will be written and directed by ‘Bluey’ creator, Joe Brumm, "delivering the same charm and humor that made the television series a global phenomenon," a press release said.

Here’s what to know about the show and the upcoming film:

What is ‘Bluey?’

The Emmy Award-winning series ‘Bluey’ follows the adventures of Bluey, a lovable, inexhaustible 7-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who lives with her dad, Bandit, mum, Chilli, and 5-year-old sister, Bingo.

The show is produced in Brisbane, Australia, which inspires the show’s setting.

'Bluey' is available on Disney+ in the United States, and was this year’s No. 1 most-watched series on Disney+ streaming to date through November, Disney said. It’s been watched for more than 842 million hours.

The show is often praised for its ability to speak honestly about parenting and childhood.
