Chicago police are launching a burglary investigation after a restaurant in Bronzeville was broken into overnight.

Chicago police launched a burglary investigation after a restaurant in Bronzeville was broken into early Tuesday.

Police officers found the front glass door of a restaurant had been damaged around 12:30 a.m. in the 200 block of East 35th Street, police said. 

The store's cash register had been tampered with but it was unclear if anything was stolen.

No one was found at the scene. Area One detectives are investigating.
