Fire burning in apartment building in Palatine

A burning apartment building in Palatine has partially collapsed.

Fire ripped through two apartment buildings in Palatine on Sunday night.

Flames tore through one building at 12 East Dundee Quarter Drive and then spread to another building.

One of the buildings partially collapsed.

The Red Cross told FOX 32 Chicago that 24 units in each building were destroyed, and more than 50 people displaced.

The fire was reported at 5:12 p.m. and was declared out at 8:37 p.m.
