A two-alarm fire leveled a West Side towing business Wednesday afternoon.

Crews were called about 2:50 p.m. to the blaze at Fast Eddie & Sons Towing Company in the 3100 block of West Fillmore, according to the Chicago Fire Department.

The fire had spread from a vacant building next door to the shop, fire officials said. No one was hurt before it was extinguished by about 4:30 p.m.

Workers were able to get one tow truck out of the fire, but the building was a “total loss,” fire officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
