CHA hosts largest "Take Flight" Trunk Party, equipping 200 students for college

CHICAGO - For the past 14 years, the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) has been providing college students with essential supplies.
On Tuesday, the CHA hosted its largest-ever "Take Flight" Trunk Party, where 200 students received the necessities to jump-start their freshman year.
While CHA youth often receive financial aid for tuition, there remains a significant gap between their aid and out-of-pocket expenses. The "Take Flight" initiative bridges this gap by providing school supplies, linens, towels and toiletries.
The 14th Annual Trunk Party, held at Guaranteed Rate Field, was sponsored by AT&T, Snapchat, Meijer, Enterprise and Molina Healthcare.
