CHICAGO - Three teens were arrested after allegedly robbing a man on the CTA Red Line platform in Goose Island Tuesday night.
Two 15-year-old boys were each charged with two felony counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. A 15-year-old girl was also charged with one count of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Around 8:44 p.m., police responded to a robbery that occurred on the CTA platform in the 1500 block of North Clybourn.
When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke to the victim, a 23-year-old man, who said that he had been approached by two male offenders and a female offender. The three demanded his personal belongings and the victim complied.
The offenders then fled the scene on the Red Line train.
Around 9:24 p.m., officers who were waiting at the Cermak location observed the three teens matching the description of the offenders and placed them in custody after being positively identified.
The two teen boys were also charged in connection to an armed robbery of a 22-year-old man that occurred in the 1700 block of North Sheffield Avenue about 30 minutes before the Clybourn robbery.
No injuries were reported.
