CHICAGO - A Burbank man was arrested this weekend after allegedly leading police on an hour-long chase from Chicago's Southwest Side to the Wisconsin border Saturday evening.
Norbert Thigpen, 36, faces two felony counts of armed robbery and discharge of a firearm and one felony count of aggravated fleeing from police.
Chicago police responded to an armed robbery at a CVS in the 8600 block of South Cicero Avenue around 5:30 p.m. Saturday after Thigpen allegedly demanded cash from the register while pointing a gun at an employee.
Police said Thigpen then fired shots into the ceiling before fleeing with the cash. No injuries were reported.
