3 injured in North Side apartment fire

Fire crews completed a search of an apartment complex in Irving Park and sent three people to the hospital to be treated.

CHICAGO - The Chicago Fire Department was on the scene of a fire at an apartment building in Irving Park Tuesday morning. 

The building, West Byron Place, is located on West Byron Street and North California Avenue. 

California Avenue was closed near Byron Street as of 7:15 a.m.

Three people were taken to area hospitals.

Chicago fire is on the scene of a fire at West Byron Place Tuesday morning.

The fire has been put out. The cause is under investigation, Chicago fire officials say.
