10-year-old girl struck by stray bullet from outside bedroom window
A 10-year-old girl is in serious condition after she was struck by gunfire inside her bedroom overnight. The girl was inside her home in Englewood when she was shot around 11 p.m.
CHICAGO - A 10-year-old girl is in serious condition after she was struck by gunfire while inside her bedroom Thursday night.
Police say the gunfire came from outside her Englewood home located at 64th and South Racine Avenue around 11 p.m.
The victim was transported to Comer Children's Hospital with a gunshot wound to her right leg.
No arrests have been reported at this time.
Area detectives are investigating.
