Manhunt underway for Chicago homicide suspect on the run in Lake County
Authorities in Lake County are searching for a reportedly armed and dangerous man wanted in connection with a homicide in Chicago.
LAKE BARRINGTON, Ill - Authorities in Lake County arrested a man wanted in connection with a homicide in Chicago after an hourslong manhunt.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday afternoon that 38-year-old Osceola Little, of Washington, fled from Chicago police at a business near Route 14 and Pepper Road.
Officials said around 8 a.m., Little was barricaded in an industrial area in Lake Barrington. He was arrested around 8:30 p.m., according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
Little is allegedly wanted in connection with a homicide in Chicago. He was charged with possession of a firearm as a felon and is being held without bond.
All Barrington District 220 schools were placed under "Secure the Building & Teach" protocol Tuesday, meaning all people were required to stay in the building. Access to school district buildings was blocked as classes continued as normal.
