CHICAGO - A Chicago man has been charged with murder after two men were shot to death at Navy Pier earlier this week.
Raylon East, 36, was arrested Thursday in the 7000 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue after he turned himself in, according to Chicago police.
He appeared in court Saturday for a detention hearing. East is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

The shooting occurred around 1:18 p.m. Tuesday on the north side of Navy Pier, near an administrative office in a loading dock area.
According to court and police documents, East, a disgruntled ex-employee of Levy Restaurants, confronted the two victims, who were former co-workers, at their work desks and fatally shot them.
The victims, ages 47 and 51, were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where they died from their injuries.
The 51-year-old victim was identified as Lamont Johnson, of Lansing, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. The 47-year-old victim was identified as Peter Jennings.

Court documents said five witnesses identified East in photos as the suspect in the shooting. Police also recovered his weapon.
Authorities said East also has a prior aggravated robbery conviction from 2008.
He was ordered to remain in custody following Saturday's hearing. He is due back in court on Nov. 12.
