The chase involved a vehicle wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies for armed robbery. South Holland police spotted the vehicle within their jurisdiction but did not initiate or participate in the pursuit, according to a statement from the department.
The chase began in the south suburbs and spanned several communities before coming to a stop near 83rd Street and Calumet Avenue on Chicago's South Side.
