Chicago police seek suspects in violent Red Line robberies

Chicago police are searching for five suspects linked to two violent robberies on the CTA Red Line that occurred minutes apart on Sunday.

The first incident happened at 5:15 p.m. near 220 West Garfield Boulevard in the Fuller Park neighborhood. A second robbery followed at 5:27 p.m. near 142 West 35th Street in Armour Square.

In both cases, the suspects approached passengers, physically and aggressively attacked them, and stole their belongings.

Police described the suspects as four young Black males and one female, believed to be between 16 and 25 years old.
