16-year-old boy arrested months after robbing man on Chicago's West Side: police

A 17-year-old boy was arrested this week, months after allegedly robbing a man on Chicago's West Side. 

The teen was charged with one felony count of armed robbery and one felony count of aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.

The backstory:

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Nov. 13, 2024 in the 5100 block of West Chicago Avenue, when the juvenile allegedly robbed a 46-year-old man.

Police noted that other offenders were involved in the robbery.

The teen was arrested on Thursday in the 1100 block of South Hamilton and charged accordingly.

What we don't know:

Police have not released the teen's identity due to him being charged as a juvenile. It is also unclear whether the other individuals involved have been arrested or charged.
