DENVER, Co. - A forbidden fruit led to a $500 fine for a Delta passenger.
Crystal Tadlock's healthy snack turned into a tough reality to stomach.
Tadlock says a Delta flight attendant handed her an apple towards the end of her flight from Paris.
When she went through customs, Tadlock said her bag was randomly searched.
That's when a customs agent pulled out the apple.
"He had asked me if my trip to France was expensive and I said 'Yeah, I didn`t really understand why he was asking that question,' and then he said 'It`s about to get a lot more expensive after I charge you $500," Tadlock said.
She says she's frustrated and feels Delta shouldn't have handed out apples.
She also says U.S. Customs clearly saw the apple came from an airline.
