Demo work begins at Arlington Racecourse
Demolition work began this week at Arlington Racecourse's six-story grandstand and a nearby two-story office and jockey building.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. - Demo work officially began at Arlington Racecourse this week.
SkyFOX was over the scene Thursday morning, and a lot of larger equipment could be seen parked nearby.
Permits have been approved for the demo work on phase one — which is the interior.

The Chicago Bears bought the property back in February.
The team has permits pending to tear down other structures on the property as well.
