Demonstrators attack Chicago Christmas Tree
CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Several people were arrested during the second night of protests over the Laquan McDonald shooting after some demonstrators destroyed part of the city Christmas tree in Millennium Park.
Video shows a group of protesters pulling lights from the tree just before 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Several dozen people took to the streets during rush hour Wednesday to protest against the shooting death of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald.
Some counted to 16 as they walked up the Magnificent Mile representing the 16 times McDonald was shot by Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke last October.
Two people were arrested during protest marches Wednesday night but were released.
This is all in response to dashcam video released Tuesday showing Van Dyke shooting McDonald.
