Lake Countys K9 Zeus is getting some new body armor.
LAKE COUNTY, Ill. - Lake County's K9 will be a little safer on the job thanks to a new donation.
Officer Zeus is getting a bullet and stab proof protective vest.
The donation is all thanks to a nonprofit called "Vested Interests in K9s".

The move is being sponsored by a local woman and the vest is expected to be ready in eight to 10 weeks.
