CHICAGO - FEMA leaders are assessing the damage in the Chicago area from those storms over the July Fourth holiday weekend.
Over the past couple of days, officials have been going door-to-door checking out the damage.
Officials spoke at Morton College Wednesday. They said they need to see the damage before federal aid can be rendered to residents.
