R&B singer Tank is a Hollywood star, but he grew up in the Midwest.

The man known for his hot lyrics, and hot bod, returned to talk with FOX 32’s Dawn Hasbrouck about his hot new music.

Tank is back with a new album called Sex Love and Pain II, which dropped January 22nd as a sequel to his 2007 CD.

"Quite naturally a lot of things have happened and changed since 2007,” Tank said. "We really go heavy. We go deep. We asked the real questions. We don't play around."

He returned to FOX 32 to fill us in on the online discussion started by the hot lyrics on his new album.

The hot topics? Sex, love and pain of course.

His Instagram blew up.

"We had to say, hey guys if you don't want to participate, don't talk about the people that are…It’s just an open forum for people to connect and communicate and have a little fun,” Tank said.

People have been connecting with Tank for years. His previous albums have earned him 9 Grammy nominations.

But a lot has changed for the Milwaukee native over the years. The now father of five stars in a comedy drama series called "Born Again Virgin" on TV One. The show returns with new episodes February 9th.

And speaking of television, he applauds shows like American Idol for helping singers get their start.

“I love it. People are getting the opportunity to live out their dreams. Those are real tears and real joy that they feel because they got an opportunity that probably no one else would have given them,” Tank said.

His fans love him, and though a lot has changed for tank, that silky voice remains the same, even when FOX 32 put him on the spot.
