Gage Park shooting leaves man wounded

CHICAGO - A man was shot and hospitalized Saturday morning in the Gage Park neighborhood on Chicago's Southwest Side.

The 26-year-old was walking outside just before 4 a.m. when gunfire broke out in the 5300 block of California Avenue, police said.

He was shot in the leg and self-transported himself to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
