Geneva domestic incident leaves 2 dead, suspect charged with murder: police
GENEVA, Ill. - Two people are dead, and a suspect is facing first-degree murder charges following a domestic incident Thursday night in Geneva.
The incident happened at 8 p.m. in the 2700 block of Emma's Way.
When police arrived, they found two victims and transported them to area hospitals, where they were pronounced dead a short time later. Their identities have not been released.
A man was taken into custody at the scene, police said. He has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder, a Class M felony.
The suspect has not been identified but is being held pending the filing of charges and his first court appearance. Authorities said the state's attorney's office intends to file a petition to deny pretrial release.
