It’s official: a sequel to “Coming to America” is in the works more than 30 years after the original hit theaters.

Costume designer Ruth E. Carter posted photos on Instagram of her with Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. The men were posing with Carter and her Oscar, which she won for her costumes in “Black Panther.”

“Good morning my neighbors! It’s official! Preliminary fitting for Coming to America 2 with Prince Akeem, Semmi and Oscar,” she said in the post.

Since confirming the news, more than 23,000 people have liked the post and it has received over 1,500 comments.

Murphy and Hall, who played Prince Akeem Joffer and Semmi, respectively, will reprise their roles in the sequel. They will also be joined by James Earl Jones, who played Akeem’s father King Jaffe Joffer.

The movie is set to come out on Aug. 7, 2020 and will be directed by Craig Brewer, with a script written by “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris.

“Coming to America,” which came out in 1988, revolved around Akeem coming to the U.S. to find a woman to marry.
