Greater Grand Crossing shooting: Man wounded in groin area on Chicago's South Side

A man was shot in the groin area Monday afternoon on Chicago's South Side.

Around 2:14 p.m., police say the male victim was in the 7100 block of S. King Dr. when he was struck by gunfire.

The victim took himself to St. Bernard Hospital in good condition, police said.

Nobody was reported in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
