Griffith team that survived bus crash loses big game

The Griffith High School basketball team beat the bus crash, but lost their state tournament game on Wednesday night on a buzzer-beater.

The team from Northwest Indiana played the semifinal game just days after their team bus was involved in a terrifying crash. Griffith was on its way to the tournament over the weekend when the bus rolled over on I-65. Part of the bus roof was crushed. Some of the players were hurt, but they will recover.

And they battled to the finish, losing to Marion 60-58, just one game from the championship.
