Hammond Public Library to close for at least 2 weeks after sprinkler pipe bursts

HAMMOND, Ind. - The Hammond Public Library will be closed for at least two weeks.

A sprinkler pipe burst on the second floor of the library Sunday night.

The president of the library board said huge amounts of water flooded the building and even ran into the basement.

He said it looked like a waterfall was going down the stairs.
