Offender robbed 3 people at gunpoint before firing shots near art center in South Chicago
CHICAGO - An offender robbed three people at gunpoint before firing shots at them near a library and art center in South Chicago Thursday afternoon.
At about 4:34 p.m., two men and a woman were outside in the 9100 block of South Houston Avenue when they were approached by an armed offender, who demanded their property.
The victims complied, and the offender grabbed the property. The offender then fired shots in the direction of the victims, but no one was struck.
The offender fled the scene in a silver sedan in an unknown direction.
No one is in custody. Area Two detectives are investigating.
