Ice chunks falling from high rises in downtown Chicago

Many signs could be seen around the Loop and Chicago Wednesday reminding pedestrians to keep an eye to the sky for falling ice.

Many signs could be seen around the Loop Wednesday reminding pedestrians to keep an eye to the sky for falling ice.

Wednesday was the warmest day in about two weeks — thanks to some sunshine and a southerly breeze.

However, as the temps are warming up, large chunks of ice are breaking free from high rises. 

This will be a dangerous issue for the next couple of days.
