Worker hit by concrete in construction zone on I-80: ISP

CHICAGO - A man working in a construction zone in Joliet was injured after a piece of concrete fell on him early Thursday morning. 

Illinois State police says the victim, 28, was working on eastbound I-80 at Richards Street around 1:25 a.m. when the incident occurred. 

He was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries
