Judge approves Pheasant Run Resort demolition contract

Demolition of the former Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles could begin as soon as Thursday.

ST. CHARLES, Ill. - Demolition of the former Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles could begin as soon as Thursday.

On Wednesday a judge approved the contractor chosen for the job.

The Daily Herald reports the total cost of the demolition is estimated at $2.43 million. Officials say they'll make the property's owner pay for it.

Pheasant Run Resort opened in 1963 and closed in 2020.
