Lake County using Christmas trees for landscaping — how to turn yours in
LAKE COUNTY, Ill. - Lake County wants your Christmas tree.
The forest preserve has eight sites set up to accept trees.

Bring a live, undecorated tree from 6:30 a.m. to sunset through February 1, 2023.
The trees will be kept out of landfills and chopped up into wood chips for trails and landscaping.
